What turned out to be a deserved vistory for Spain was mared by rediculous tactics by the Dutch who received 10 cards from the English referee during Sundays World Cup 2010 football final in South Africa.
Even Johan Cruyff described the Dutch play as "very dirty". Let's dimiss the Dutch and their tactics as a lasting disgrace and applaud the Spanish squad who displayed.
The English referee Howard Webb is one of the top referees in the English Premier league, he was booed by the Dutch Supporters as he received his medal.
We are curious how those same supporters reacted when De Jong tackled into the chest of Alonso, one of those the referee missed in favour of the Dutch.
Of course the Spanish did thier own bit of shirt pulling too, but on the whole played honourably, occassionaly demonstrating poetic ball control throught the competition and earned their title, Champions del Mundo.
