Following my article from early in 2010 I decided to enter the same expression used in 2010 to see what results the online translators produced this time.
"Think it through" or Think it through without quotes was the chosen expression we fed to the translators
"Pensar que a través de"
Piensa en ella
Two quite different answers depending upon whether you use quotes.
Last year, as you can see from part one of this investigation Google produced a different answer than it does this year.
Google's been taking feedback from users but stopped sometime before the end of 2010.
Now we also tested two other online translators, one from BableFish and one from translation2.
This year translator2 came up with
Estúdielo detenidamente
adding quotes made no difference to the result they gave.
The final online translator used was the mother of them all, BableFish.
This time Bable fish produced
Piénselo a través - the only one to produce exactly the same result as the first time.
So is Bablefish the best, has Bablefish been right all along?
