Among the tourist facilities to be renewed in the first round, 3-star hotel Apartamentos Carmen will become five-star Asgard. and Apartamentos Santa Mónica will be demolished to build a four star hotel.
According to several local businesses this storey has been around for 3 or 4 years and has not materialised into a reality.
Where is the official bullitin we were asked?
If there really were confirmed offcial plans to start to tear down the illegal shops and restruants on the promenard of playa del Ingles beach then the Spanish Newspapers would carry an offcial bullitin with a start date, so far we have seen no such offcial bullitin exists let alone a start date, so no new confirmation of this storey other than a set of plans that were published for public inspection last June.
As in many countries a period of public offcial notice exists for any formal challenges to the plan to renew.
These are still fairly early days for any significant changes to start, an educated guess may be sometime in 2014 at the earliest for any changes to the beach fron here in Playa del Ingles.
