We were not prepaired for the nightmare journey of leaving the Las Tarrazzas Shopping center that awaits each and every visitor.
We decided to visit Las Terazzas Shopping center while we in Las palmas the capital city for the day
Serious mistake 1
It was a spontanoues decision, the type you take when you are out for the day sihgtseeing touring shopping etc.
We don't drive so we decided to take a taxi from Las Palmas because we could'nt find any information about which buses would take us to the Shopping center Las Terrazas "Centro Comercial".
Arriving Las Terrazas Shopping center in a taxi was like arriving at the side of a giant flying suacer, the taxi driver nervously drove aqround the edifice until hs spotted what looked like an entrance, some steps leading up into the center located on the sea facing side of the center.
The drive to the center, just before Telde, was a little over 10 minutes drive from where we were in Las Palmas.
The shopping center itself is modern, pretty much what you'd expect.
After purchasing several items we had our hands full and asked how to we get to te bus station, we were travelling to Playa del Ingles by bus rather than paying the €50+ it would cost in a taxi.
See the nighmare journey need to get to the bus station from Las terrazas if you don't have a car.
Several shop assistants told us we would have to
get a taxi to the bus station that was across the road!
Sounds odd to you to huh!
Turns out that althought the advice is well intentioned it is actually impratical and only part of the storey

We were not camera ready but we were determined to bring you these pictures, and this is one year after the "The New Centro Comercial Las Tarrazas Gran Canaria" opened for business.
Anyone know what percentage of the population who live in Gran Canaria are car owners?
I'd hazard a guess and say well over half of the visitors to the Island do not have access to cars and are not willing to pay the high costs of taxis to travel to and from Las Terrazas Shopping centre.
