One in four people are now unemployed in the Canary Islands, that´s over 300,000 people out of work.
Predictions
we pubished just two weeks ago were based on offcial publications from the end of 2009 that predicted the unemployment rate may top 26% by late 2010.
La Provincia.es has published these figures stating this rate has been exceeded already!
This means predictions for late in 2010 are anyones guess at the moment but these Islands face the very real prospect of 1 in 3 without work wthin the next few months as the concentena effect may kick in after the peek season ends in April.
