Town planning seems to be the editors gripe about playa del Ingles and the fact that there´s noting Spanish about this place, they claim you only need to speak German or English, pretty poor review from a site that claims some form of expertise.
The truth is that the lonely planet has been surpassed by sites like tripadvisor and several others who have multiple opinions and not that of some travel wiery anonymous ass who got lost and could´nt ask for directions.
There´s no land here, it´s just a case of what people have carved out of the side the mountain, these are all Volcanic Islands. Lonely Planet Guide to the south side of a small Island that gets around 2.5 million visitors every year
