Local Elections:
Celebrations and recognition of the hard won campaign were appluaded by locals and onlookers as the results of the local elections came through.
PP-AV party, led by Marco Aurelio Perez has achieved an absolute majority in the municipal local elections of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
He has a working majority of 14 out of the 25 possible seats.

Marco Aurelio Perez recently acknowledge the work of the GLAY (Gay and Lesbian Association of the Yumbo) for the important part played by the organisation and community in contributing to the local economy and as a practicle example of the way Spanish society and in particular inhabitants of Gran Canaria respect and actively support the rights of minorities.
